The Importance of Profile Photos
You need photos on your profile if you’re looking to truly meet others into spanking.
To be blunt: Profiles that don’t have any photos on them at all are much less likely to get responses or interest than those that do.
It’s not as much about evaluating and judging your appearance as you might think. We can assure you from years of experience on the spanking scene that folks of all shapes, sizes, and appearances are able to find somebody interested in spanking play.
Rather, it’s about demonstrating that there is a real person behind your account. Sites and apps that help people connect all have to deal with fraudulent profiles and scam artists. Whappz is vigilant about removing fake profiles whenever they’re uncovered. But users are vigilant as well to avoid being targeted and aren’t likely to respond to vague profiles that don’t have photos.
What if you can’t use a face photo?
People have a lot of reasons for not wanting to put photos of their faces on a service designed to help kinky folks meet, and some of them are perfectly valid and not about trying to scam people. Whappz doesn’t require you to show your face, but do know that regardless of the reason that you feel like you can’t show your face, you’re likely to get fewer responses and others are less likely to reach out to you to initiate contact.
What we recommend if you can’t show your face is to put up photos of your (clothed) body that don’t show your face. Alternatively, you can use images of implements that you like (especially if they’re yours).
Don’t use photos of other people in your Whappz profile or otherwise misrepresent yourself if you’re unwilling to show your own face.
Nudity, explicit photos, and your private galleries
Nudity or eroticized images that suggest nudity cannot be used as main public images on Whappz in order to comply with rules of platforms like Apple. Compliance allows the app to be distributed on people’s phones and smart devices. Please respect these rules.
We’re not prudes here, though—you have private galleries that can be used to post images that contain nudity or images of you giving or receiving spankings. These gallery images remain locked until you purposefully unlock them for others and are not visible to anybody scrolling through the site or profiles.
If you’re sensitive about who sees your face, you can also put face photos in your private galleries. Then if you’re talking to somebody you’re interested in and trust them, you can unlock the private galleries to them so they can see your face and more explicit pictures.
To unlock a gallery for a particular user, go to that user’s profile and click the “unlock pics” button. This will send that user a message that your private picture galleries are unlocked for them. This isn’t permanent and you can click the button again to lock your pictures up.
You can also upload and send individual photos in private messages to people. Click on the paper clip button next to the message to upload and transmit a photo. Even after you’ve sent a photo, if you delete it, it will be deleted from the conversation.
Repeatedly unlocking and locking pictures for a user in order to send them multiple messages in the hopes of getting their attention is obnoxious harassment and a good way to get blocked. Don’t do it.
Update your pics now and then
People notice when profiles are updated and get new pictures. It’s another way to make it clear that you’re an active person on the spanking scene who is legitimately looking to meet others. Profiles and photos that are rarely or ever updated are less likely to draw attention or interest.
Got a new hairstyle you think is hot? Got a new implement you want to test out on a willing butt? Toss them up onto your profile!
